A solar power generation system is now fully activated at Vietnam Plant

Reducing CO2 emissions by 4,210 tons per year.

Kyocera Document Solutions Inc.(President:Hironori Ando; hereinafter:Kyocera) is pleased to announce that the solar power generation system installed at Vietnam Plant will be fully activated from March 29th.​

The installation of this solar power generation system is expected to reduce CO2 emissions by 4,210 tons per year (equivalent to planting 300,694 trees). The installation of this solar system will cover approximately 41% of the electricity used by the Vietnam Plant.

Kyocera Group has established long-term environmental targets to address climate change issues, including a 46% reduction in CO2 emissions in FY2030 compared to FY2019. Furthermore, Kyocera Group companies are working to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. This initiative reflects our commitment to simultaneously promote economic development and environmental conservation through the introduction of renewable energy. It is also in line with our goal of bringing environmentally friendly MFPs and printers to the market that save energy and require fewer parts to replace.​

In the future, we will continue to introduce solar power generation systems at our other locations and regions, and acquire environmental value certificates, aiming to achieve 100% renewable energy at all Kyocera Document Solutions Group locations by 2030.
