Kyocera Document Solutions Acquires a Provider of Comprehensive ICT Services in Australia

Sydney, Australia – 3 July, 2019

Kyocera Document Solutions Inc. (hereinafter "the company," President: Norihiko Ina) today announced that it has acquired Huon IT Pty Ltd (hereinafter "Huon IT"), an Australian-based provider of ICT services including IT infrastructure design and maintenance.

Based in Sydney, Australia, Huon IT has 30 years of experience in offering ICT services while maintaining high customer satisfaction.

In recent years, the document solutions market in Australia has been moving from MDS (Managed Document Services)* to comprehensive services, which includes IT infrastructure development and management in addition to MDS. As a response to this market transformation, the company will integrate Huon IT's expertise in providing ICT services to a wide range of customers with its local sales company's (Kyocera Document Solutions Australia) operations to strengthen the business in the Australian market and enhance comprehensive service capabilities, thereby offering higher quality and expansion of services to its customers.

In conjunction with Huon's ICT services, Kyocera also plans to offer its ECM (Enterprise Content Management) solutions, which automates and streamlines workflows, thus becoming capable of providing comprehensive, thorough document solutions to its customers. Based on this, the company will strengthen its comprehensive services, not only including MDS and ICT services but also ECM solutions, and aim to grow its business as the Kyocera Document Solutions Group.

Mr. Ryosuke Okochi, Managing Director of Kyocera Document Solutions Australia "The acquisition of Huon IT is part of Kyocera's ongoing strategy to support Australian businesses as we drive change and expand our own business. We are confident that we can add value to our customers with expanding our product offering and a new choice in ICT services.  Huon IT services will integrate into our business offering with their high performance ICT solutions that complement our own values and commitment to our customers. We are extremely excited to welcome Huon IT to Kyocera Document Solutions."

Kyocera helps customers to "Put knowledge to work" by supporting them to turn information into knowledge, excel at learning and surpass others. By creating added value, the company aims to become a document solutions provider which contributes to the development of its customers' businesses.

And for Huon IT, this marks an exciting "next step" in the company's journey. CEO & Founder, Damian Huon, "Now with Kyocera's support, we can reach heightened levels of innovation, expand our services, and reach new markets, both in terms of location and verticals. I'm incredibly honoured to now be part of the Kyocera Group. Huon IT has seen significant growth in the past couple of financial years, so this integration will galvanise the next phase of company growth, via national team expansion and introduction into Kyocera's strong client base."
