Oracle introduced two new security changes in its Java Platform in January 2014. This change affects Java version 7 update 51 onwards.
These changes are designed to enhance authentication and authorization for Rich Internet Applications (Applets and Web Start).
The default security setting is now to block RIAs that are not trusted and/or signed.
This change applies to all applications that run inside a browser and affects the Remote Web Manager on Kyocera's KM4800W.
A workaround has been provided by Oracle in a redesigned Java Control Panel modification, that introduces an Exception Site List. The IP address of web-based applications that are unsigned and/or untrusted applications can be added to the Exception List and will no longer be blocked from execution.
Refer to the Java Security and KM4800W.pdf manual for more details.
